About Gilbert Grillo Productions
Gilbert Grillo Productions was conceived one pitch-black Arizona night back in the early spring of 2002. Sitting in the backyard of Fred’s house in the then small town of Gilbert, Dan the Man’s latest homemade music softly playing in the background alternately soothing and percussive, enjoying a blazing fire in the grill covered fire pit. While fooling around with video cameras Joe started fooling around with video camera, filming the fire pit, first in regular shot mode then in night shot mode. Regular shot mode. Night shot mode. Regular shot. Night shot. We found ourselves falling in sync with the music. Regular shot-Soothing. Night shot-Percussive. Regular shot-Soothing. Night shot-Percussive. Suddenly out of the silence a booming voice broke crack from the sky scaring the crap out of all of us.
New Music. New Live Music is the Holy Grail. And you must find it and film it.
Destiny. Finally, the life’s mission was clear. Only one nagging question remained. Why WERE we burning giant chicken feet in the fire pit?
Get me a beer
Suddenly we realized we were alone. So we got up and got ourselves them beers. Sitting back down in front of the crackling chicken feet, we started to ponder. What a glorious night to be alive, in Gilbert, Arizona, sitting in front of this grill covered fire pit. Hmmm. Gilbert, Arizona. Grill covered fire pit. Gilbert. Grill. Gilbert Grill. Of course. It was calling out from the darkness. Oh, Gilbert Grill Productions. Or maybe, Gilbert Grill-O, Thats unique. I mean maybe a company named Gilbert Grill, there could be many. That mexican place down the street, isn’t that place owned by Gill. Maybe his first name is Gilbert. OK, Gilbert Grillo. God maybe we’ve had too many beers.
The rest, as we say, is History. Or soon will be...
